There’s a good reason that I haven’t updated on the fish tank in a while. There hasn’t been much progress to speak of, only setbacks. We got the lighting attached to a temporary hood so that the plants wouldn’t die from lack of light. I works perfectly and my AHSupply lighting puts out a ton [...] Last week my husband caught a very strange encounter in the yard. It seems our little white cat not only attracts elk while inside, she draws deer while outside. With the installation of the fence, and the start of nice weather, we’ve started letting the cats out for supervised playtime. This may have been a mistake. Now instead of coming home to cats who want to snuggle or chase things, we come home to the insistent yowl of “let me out.” The fish tank stand is nearly done. All of the structural pieces are complete, including the dividers between the sections. This is remarkable progress, but it only makes it harder to wait for it to be deposited in its final location. The drawers below the bookshelves are assembled, only needing guides to be complete. I was hoping to save this up until the fish tank stand was finished, but that seems so far away that I’m going to do a progress post anyway. I keep buying stuff for the aquarium, stuff that won’t spoil anyway. Last month I picked up some driftwood on sale. I guess the delay is [...] A decade ago, a coworker and I picked up some goldfish and a 2 gallon tank. Over time, and with a lot of trial and error, I now have 2 stable fish tanks. One is a long 30 gallon and is home to a few tetras, a pair of cories and a single Opaline gourami [...] My husband and I are looking at getting a dog. We’ve never owned a dog as adults, so I’m trying to get as much information as I can ahead of time. Sort of get a plan together so that we’re not too surprised when the dog comes home. I now know that my neighbors use clumping clay cat litter. The kind that’s grey with little blue flecks in it. I also happen to know that this stuff stains beige carpet. |
